Here are some new poems by Jahangir Sedaghatfar, our poet from Sarechal, both in his original Persian and in English translation.

"Thoughts"

Hatred

We are born prepared to love ;

But hurt can teach us to hate .

The one who loves you,

Is a pure soul

Whose character is not fouled by the slime of malice ...

Regretfully

Life is a cruel teacher!

Poverty

Poverty opens the way for the destruction of dignity.

Wealth, however,

May look like proof of virtue …

But

The impenetrable wall of injustice

Separates the Rich from the Poor.
